It has been a while now since my last update.

I’ve been on a lot of conserts lately. Mostley at Glenn Miller Café and Fasching.

Fläsket Brinner, Max Shultz and Way Beyond Band, The Beginners, Karl Olandersson.

And I Played With Tigrén, Adefeldt, Tilling, Kviberg i torsdags på Stampen. That was a great Consert and a great audience. The Swedish Glam-rockers Crashdiet was actually sitting right in front of the stage. The Band and also hangarounds… Around 15 peaople in that gang. And thay were really fun and enjoyed our old swing/bop/blues-mix.

I have orderd a new Ibanezguitar thats gonna arrive on tuesday! Gonna be fun.

    It looks like this:

    AS153AYS-xlarge

I found it online at grear4you.com.

At a really nice price. Thanx Ola Bengtsson for the recomendation :))

I have also played on Rune Gustafssons old Anniversary Ibanez Les Paul. What a guitar!

  • Saturday blues

I went to the Jazzbrunch at Mosebacke in Stockholm today to meet my friend Max Shultz and check he’s playing.

I consider him to be one of the three best guitarists in Sweden, maybe the greatest.

    He’s a beast at blues!!

He got excellent time and feeling! also great technique and flawless tone.

He has taken the best things from Scofeild, Robben Ford, Mcloughlin and combined that with all he’s own stuff. I like it very mutch.

He was playing there with Claes Askelöf, another great guitarplayer from Stockholm.

They asked me to sit in on some songs and it was very fun!

Here is some photos that Jan Hedin took 🙂

My favourite part is 1:20 into the video when Doug plays a 2bars phrase that i think is in 5/8. That sound pretty great! pretty hip 😉

I played with about the same gear as Doug on the clip to sound more like him.

I used a Gibson Super400, Polytone Minibrute 3 with 15inch speaker and Trex-room-mate reverb.. I dont have any reverb in my polytone.

I think Doug used a Gibson L7 and also a Polytone minibrute but with 10inch speaker on the album “Cuttin’ Loose” from 1978.

I have written the solo down on notes if somebody wanna have it and try to play it themselves.

    Here is the PDF:

Some of the guys that played was Gus Dahlberg, Jutterström, Bertil Jonasson, Karl Olandersson to name a few

I also met my old friend Göran Rahm (Saxophoneplayer) and alot of other people i know from Gävle (my hometown).

    Its 200km north of Stockholm.

    Bosse Tigréns Quartet was:

    Bosse – Clarinett

    Roffe Andersson – drums

  • I want to write some words about Doug Raney. He is the son of the guitarist Jimmy Raney who played with Stan Getz among others.

Doug is one of the best Jazzguitarists ever, and he has the best sound also.

Doug often play Gibsonguitars and polytone-amp.

I’ve seen him with Ibanez-guitars also but he’s main model is some kind of Gibson

    Here is a Photo:44993765

He got some albums on the Danish label “Steeplechase” that is totally awesome.

    My favourites is:

    1. Cuttin loose’

    2. Introducing Doug Raney

    3. Listen

    4. Lazy Bird

The albums features players like: Bernt Rosengren, Nils Henning Örstedt Pedersen, Billy Hart, Harace Parlan among others.

    Here is some links:

  • Jamsession in Hudiksvall

Today was fun! I went to Hudiksvall and participated in my friend Martin Bergers Jamsession at the Jazzclubb there.

It was around 12-15 musicians and a sitting audience of about 80-people so it was a very nice session.

Some of the players were Martin Berger, Kristoffer Sundman, Johan Timan, Eddie Mikka, Ulrika Beijer, Gunnar Åkerhielm, Gösta Svensson… and a lot more 🙂

It was a great time. Mostly traditional Jazz.

I got it on CD as a Christmas present 🙂

Later when i got home, I practised Classical Guitar 2hours 🙂

It was the first time i played classical for like 2years but Im gonna pick it up again.
